This public session introduces the matter and allows for open
discussion prior to initiating formal negotiations with the PPOA, and allows the City
Council and staff to receive input from the public on this matter.
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council obtain public input regarding negotiations between the City of
Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Police Officers' Association.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
There is no financial impact associated with this action. However, any subsequent labor
contract negotiated by the City will have a fiscal impact on the operating budget. The
impacts will be shared publically when a tentative agreement is reached.
