CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3479 <br /> <br />OPPOSING STATE LEGISLATION CONTROLLING <br />LAND USE OF ROCK AND GRAVEL DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does hereby <br />resolve as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council does hereby express its opposition to <br />any legislation which would take from local control the land use <br />for rock, sand and gravel deposits. <br /> <br /> 2. The City Council does hereby approve and endorse <br /> <br />the presentation of James M. Fales, Jr., City Manager, to the <br />Sub~omittee On Manufacturing, Oil and Mining Industry, Assembly <br />Interim Co~uittee on Public Utilities and Corporations, at <br /> <br />Los Angeles, California, on January 30, 1964, advocating local <br />planning and zoning as the best method to protect both industry <br />and the coz~m/nity. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED: January 27, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />/s/ Helen Woodward <br /> <br />~ELENWOODWARD <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> /s/ John L.
