CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF pLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1217 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE TITLE OF "COUNCIL OF <br /> DIRECTORS" OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY TO "BOARD OF <br /> DIRECTORS" AND RELATED AMENDMENTS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF pLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Article 6B (Housing Authority) of Chapter 2 of Title <br /> I of the pleasanton Municipal Code is amended to read as <br /> set forth in Exhibit A to this ordinance- <br />Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Tri-Valley Herald," <br /> a newspaper of general circulation published in the City <br /> of pleasanton- <br /> Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon <br /> its final passage and adoption, based upon the following <br /> facts and circumstances: <br /> a. There is an immediate need to establish financial <br /> procedures so that clear authority exists for the <br /> issuance of checks. <br /> <br /> b. Immediate effectiveness will prevent confusion <br /> which may result if the initial documents of the <br /> modified Housing Authority are produced with <br /> obsolete titles for the Board of Directors and <br /> Housing Commission- <br /> INTRODUCED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council <br /> of the City of pleasanton on September 17, 1985 by the following <br /> vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers ' Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None . <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Pe~el~. ac ona , f ~' ~r~e~Y <br /> <br /> <br />
