THE CITY OF 17 <br /> pLEASANTONe CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> May 3, 2011 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF CITY COUNCIL ANNUAL WORK PLAN FOR 2011/2012 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> This report provides information needed for the City Council to adopt the new Annual <br /> Work Plan for 2011/2011. The Annual Work Plan is designed to inform the community <br /> of the Council's shared vision and provide the City Manager with the policy direction <br /> needed to direct City resources including preparation of the City Budget which is <br /> currently underway. It is anticipated the Council will update the Annual Work Plan in <br /> spring of 2012 to assure it remains consistent with its goals and objectives and to <br /> provide any additional information required for preparation of the Mid -Term Budget <br /> process. In this way, the work plan covers a two -year period updated annually <br /> consistent with the City Budget process. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the Annual Work Plan attached to this report as Attachment A. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no direct financial impact as a result of this report. However many of the <br /> projects included in the work plan have a financial impact which will be addressed <br /> through the City Budget including the Capital Improvement Program. <br />
