PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-2002-15 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF THE HOUSING ELEMENT GOALS, POLICIES, AND PROGRAMS FOR INCLUSION IN THE HOUSING ELEMENT WHEREAS, the City Council appointed the Housing Element Task Force in June 2001 to prepare an Update of the Housing Element of the General Plan; and WHEREAS, on November 15, 2001 the Housing Element Update Task Force presented policy recommendations for the Housing Element to the City Council, Planning Commission, and Housing Commission at a joint workshop/special City Council meeting for comment and direction; and WHEREAS, a modified Draft Housing Element Goals, Policies, and Programs document has been prepared based on the direction at the joint workshop; and WHEREAS, at its duly-noticed public hearing of February 13, 2002, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of City staff concerning the proposed Goals, Policies, and Programs portion of the Draft Housing Element of the General Plan; and WHEREAS, following review of the proposed Draft Housing Element Goals, Policies, and Programs, the Planning Commission provided individual recommendations and comments regarding the drafr document. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends to the City Council the Revised Draft Housing Element Goals, Policies, and Programs, dated Revised January 28, 2002 (attached hereto and made part of this case by reference) for inclusion in the Housing Element. Section 2. Recommends that the City Council consider the Planning Commissioners' individual recommendations for modifications to the Revised Draft Housing Element Goals, Policies, and Programs, as set forth in the minutes of its February 13, 2002 meeting, attached hereto and made part of this case by reference.
