PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-2002-13 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF DON MENDEZ FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE PDR-172 WHEREAS, Don Mendez has applied for design review approval of an approximately 1,500- square-foot addition to an existing office building and the construction of an approximately 2,400-square-foot, two-unit residential apartment building on an approximately 0.2-acre lot located at 218 Ray Street; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial), Downtown Revitalization, Core Area Overlay District; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of February 13, 2002, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposal is consistent with the provisions of the Downtown Specific Plan and the Downtown Design Guidelines, and the proposed project complements the existing buildings in the surrounding neighborhood and is an attractive mixed-use project. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Approves Case PDR-172, the application of Don Mendez for design review approval of an approximately 1,500-square-foot addition to an existing office building and the construction of an approximately 2,400-square-foot, two-unit residential apartment building on an approximately 0.2-acre lot located at 218 Ray Street, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption unless appealed prior to that time.
