PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-2002-03 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS FOR THE DOWNTOWN AREA WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend portions of the General Plan Land Use Element relating to the 'Downtown' area of Pleasanton, consisting of approximately 308 +/- acres, and bounded by the Arroyo Del Valle and Union Pacific Railroad Corridor to the north, Third Street to the east, Bemal Avenue to the south, and Pleasanton Avenue and Rose Avenue to the west; and WHEREAS, the proposed amendments involve changing the land use designations for approximately seventeen different areas in the Downtown, as set forth more particularly in the attached Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a noticed work study session on November 28, 2001, and public hearing on January 9, 2002, regarding the proposed General Plan amendments and considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of City staff; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the proposed General Plan amendments are consistent with the goals and policies of the General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends that the City Council adopt the City of Pleasanton's application for General Plan Amendments for the Downtown area, as set forth in the attached Exhibit "A". Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
