CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18.84.090 (SIDE AND REAR YARDS <br /> REQUIREMENTS AND EXCEPTIONS) OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE, <br /> AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ -27 <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 8, 2009, the Planning Commission <br /> recommended that the City Council amend Section 18.84.090 (Side and rear yards <br /> Requirements and exceptions) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code regarding fencing; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 18, 2009, the City Council reviewed the <br /> report of the Director of Community Development regarding amendments to <br /> Section 18.84.090 (Side and rear yards Requirements and exceptions) of the <br /> Pleasanton Municipal Code and the recommendations of the Planning Commission. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council finds that the proposed amendments to the <br /> Pleasanton Municipal Code are consistent with the Pleasanton General Plan. <br /> SECTION 2. Section 18.84.090 (Side and rear yards Requirements and <br /> exceptions) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code regarding fencing are amended to read <br /> as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> SECTION 3. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for <br /> fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its <br /> final passage and adoption. <br /> ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on <br /> September 1, 2009. <br /> 1 <br />
