MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> February 21, 2006 <br /> 6:00 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> Conference with real property negotiator Nelson Fialho concerning the terms and <br /> conditions of the City's potential acquisition of the community park and the right of way for the <br /> Stoneridge Drive extension to be located within Staples Ranch. <br /> Conference with legal counsel concerning pending litigation, Lonestar Industries (now <br /> know as Cemex) v. City of Pleasanton. <br /> Conference with real property negotiator, Nelson Fialho, concerning the terms and <br /> conditions to acquire a temporary construction easement on property owned by the Spotorno <br /> Family Ranch, adjacent to the Callippe Preserve Golf Course and Open Space project. <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Vice Mayor Sullivan called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:05 p.m. <br /> Councilmember Thorne led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> Mr. Thorne invited the community to attend the Fourth Annual Youth Music Festival to be <br /> held Friday, February 24 at the Amador Theater. On Saturday, February 25, he invited the <br /> community to attend the annual two -piano benefit concert of pianists Mark Anderson and <br /> Tamriko Siprashvili. The event will be held at the Amador Theater and proceeds benefit the <br /> Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council's Arts in the Schools Program. He announced the premiere of <br /> the Science on Saturday presentations offered by the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory. Science <br /> on Saturday is a series of free lectures and demonstrations targeted at middle and high school <br /> students to share current cutting edge topics in science. The first in a series of free lectures will <br /> be held at Amador Theater on Saturday, February 25 and will feature the topic 'Waves in <br /> Nature: Laser to Tsunami and Beyond." He announced that a joint City Council /Economic <br /> Vitality Workshop would be held on Tuesday, February 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber. <br /> The workshop will focus on the draft revised Economic and Fiscal Element of the General Plan <br /> and the draft Economic Development Strategic Plan. The following evening, Wednesday, <br /> March 1, a joint City Council /Planning Commission will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. in the Council <br /> Chamber.
