CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1523 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PT~ASANTON <br /> AMENDING TITLE 3 OF THE pT~ASANTON MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE BY ADDING TE[ERETO'A NEW CHAPTER 3.32 TO <br /> PROVIDE ALTERNATIVE BIDDING PROCEDURES UNDER <br /> THE UNIFORM PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION COST <br /> ACCOUNTING ACT (SECTION 22000, ET SEO. OF THE <br /> PUBLIC CONTRACT CODE) <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Title 3 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding thereto a new Chapter, 3.32, to read as follows: <br /> "chapter 3.32 <br /> <br /> Alternative Biddinq Procedures Under the Uniform PUblic <br /> Construction Cost Accounting Act <br /> Section 3.32,010 Contractinq Procedures for Public Pro~ects <br /> <br /> A. Public projects of $25,000 or less may be performed by <br /> the employees of the City by force account, by negotiated <br /> contract, or by purchase order. <br /> <br /> B. Public projects of seventy-five thousand dollars <br /> ($75,000) or less may be let to contract by informal <br /> procedures as set forth in Section 22032, et seq. of the <br /> Public Contract Code. <br /> <br /> C. Public projects of more than $75,000 shall, except as <br /> otherwise set forth in Section 22032, et seq. of the <br /> Public Contract Code, be let to contract by formal <br /> bidding procedure. <br /> <br /> Section 3.32,020 Contractors List <br /> A list of contractors shall be developed and maintained in <br /> accordance with the provisions of Section 22034 of the Public <br /> Contract Code and criteria promulgated from time to time by <br /> the California Uniform Construction Cost Accounting <br /> Commission. <br /> <br /> Section 3.32.030 Notice Invitinq Informal Bid~ <br /> <br /> Where a public project is to be performed which is subject to <br /> the provisions of Section 3.32.010B, a notice inviting <br /> informal bids shall be mailed to all contractors for the <br /> category of work to be bid, as shown on the list developed in <br /> <br /> <br />
