CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1616 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1.04 OF THE <br /> PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING THERETO <br /> SECTION 1.04.090 CONCERNING CLAIMS PROCEDURES <br /> FOR CLAIMS AGAINST PLEASANTON FOR MONEY OR <br /> DAMAGES NOT NOW GOVERNED BY STATE OR LOCAL <br /> LAW <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />S~ction 1: Section 1.04.090 is hereby added to the Pleasanton Municipal Code to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> "1.04.090 Claims Procedur¢~ Not Otherwise Provided by State or Local <br /> I~w. <br /> <br /> Notwithstanding the exemptions set forth in Section 905 of the Government Code <br /> of the State of California, all claims against the City of Pleasanton for damages <br /> or money, when a procedure for processing such claims is not otherwise provided <br /> by state or local laws, shall be presented within the time limitations and in the <br /> manner prescribed by Sections 910 through 915.2 of the Government Code of the <br /> State. Such claims shall further be subject to the provisions of Section 945 <br /> through 946 of the Government Code of the State relating to the prohibition of <br /> suits in the absence of the presentation of claims and action thereon." <br /> <br /> Section 2: A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days <br /> after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted <br /> for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its <br /> adoption. <br /> <br />~: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage <br /> and adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on <br /> January 18, 1994. <br /> <br /> <br />
