CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1722 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AMENDING SECTION 11.36.210 OF THE PLEASANTON <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE CREATING A FOUR HOUR LIMITED <br /> TIME PARKING ZONE <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Section 11.36.210 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> "11.36.210 Authority to Establish Limited Time Parking Zones: <br /> <br /> Whenever any resolution of the City designates any street or portion thereof as a limited <br /> time parking zone, the City Traffic Engineer shall erect appropriate signs, meters or <br /> markings. Such limited time parkin zones shall not become effective until and unless <br /> signs, parking meters, or curb markings are in place indicating such time limits consistent <br /> with the following regulations: <br /> <br /> (Subsections A-C, no change.) <br /> <br /> D. Four-Hour Parking. When authorized signs are in place giving notice thereof, no <br /> person shall park a vehicle between the hours of six o'clock (6:00) a.m. and ten o'clock <br /> (10:00 p.m. of any day for a period of time longer than four (4) hours." <br /> <br />Section 2: A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after <br /> its adoption in "The Tri-Valley Herald," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for <br /> fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its <br /> adoption. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage <br /> and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Cotmoil of the City of Pleasanton on <br />September 16, 1997. <br /> <br /> <br />
