CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1721 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF SECURITY CAPITAL PACIFIC TRUST/ PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA FOR PUD PLAN APPROVAL FOR A 540-UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEX, AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-81-30-71D WHEREAS, Security Capital Pacific Trust and Prudential Insurance Company have applied for Planned Unit Development plan approval to construct a 540-unit apartment complex on an approximately 26.5 acre site (Lot 60, Hacienda Business Park) generally located south of the intersection of Hacienda and Owens Drives; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - HDR (High Density Residential) District; and WHEREAS, the proposed PUD plan is exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), because impacts of development were analyzed previously through the original Initial Study adopted in 1991; and WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendations for approval of the PUD plan; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public heating was held on September 2, 1997; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the proposed PUD plan is consistent with the General Plan and purposes of the PUD ordinance, and that the proposed project is appropriate for the site. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves Case PUD-81-30-71D, the application of Security Capital Pacific Trust and Prudential Insurance Company for PUD plan approval to construct a 540-unit apartment complex on an approximately 26.5 acre site (Lot 60, Hacienda Business Park) generally located south of the intersection of Hacienda and Owens Drives, subject to the conditions shown on "Exhibit B ", attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
