PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-99-03 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDiNG APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION PREPARED FOR THE APPLICATION OF RED BEAR, INC., AS <br />FILED UNDER CASE Z-98-296/SPA-98-03 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Red Bear, Inc., has applied for (1) design review approval to construct a 39-room <br />hotel at 807 Main Street, and (2) a Downtown Specific Plan Amendment to <br />permit the construction of a three-story building where two stories is the limit; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated <br /> October 9, 1998, and received the recommendations of staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 27, 1999, the Planning Commission received a proposed <br /> negative declaration prepared for the proposed project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the <br /> opportunity to comment on the enviromnental impacts of the proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with <br />the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project would not have a <br /> significant environmental impact; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission further finds that the proposed project will have no <br /> potential for adverse impacts on the site's wildlife. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for the application of <br /> Red Bear, Inc., for (1) design review approval to construct a 39-room hotel at 807 <br /> Main Street, and (2) a Downtown Specific Plan Amendment to permit the <br /> construction of a three-story building where two stories is the limit. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
