PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-2000-11 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE STONERIDGE REGIONAL SHOPPING CENTER DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT the Taubman Company, has applied for an amendment to the Stoneridge Regional Shopping Center Development Agreement to extend for one additional year (to December 31, 2000) the time for the City Council to either confirm or revoke the approval of an additional 202,000 square feet of commeroial space. This will allow the West Las Positas Community Advisory Committee additional time to complete its review prior to the City Council's determination on the mall expansion; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-R(m) Regional Commercial (enclosed mall) District; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of February 9, 2000, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, a modification such as that proposed is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed amendment to the Development Agreement would allow for the West Las Positas Community Advisory Committee to complete its review prior to the City Council making a determination on the mall expansion. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends approval of the application of the Taubman Company for an amendment to the Stoneridge Regional Shopping Center Development Agreement to extend for one additional year (to December 31, 2000) the time for the City Council to either confirm or revoke the approval of an additional 202,000 square feet of commercial space. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption unless appealed prior to that time.
