PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2000-05 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE PROPOSED PUD MASTER PLAN FOR <br />THE KAISER CENTER FOR TECHNOLOGY SITE (PUD-98-07) IS CONSISTENT WITH <br />THE GENERAL PLAN AND PURPOSE OF THE PUD ORDINANCE <br /> <br />Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation has applied for Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) approval for a master plan and design guidelines that would <br />allow for the development of up to 1.1 million square feet of office/research and <br />development buildings to be located on an approximately 80-acre parcel located at <br />6177 Sunol Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD-I (Planned Unit Development-Industrial) District; <br /> and <br /> <br />at its duly noticed public hearing of January 12, 2000 the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission determined that the proposed master plan and <br />guidelines provide for a very positive development of this highly visible site and <br />that the guidelines would allow build'rags to be positioned to create a visual <br />presence on Sunol Boulevard and the freeway without being too dominating; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed PUD master plan is <br /> consistent with the General Plan and purposes of the PUD ordinance. <br /> <br /> <br />
