NHEREAS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />NOW, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEI;)A <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />R£E, OI..UTION NO,-:- 6q-2 <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL POLICY RE: LIMITATION OF TERMS AND <br /> ROTATION OF CHAIRMEN OF THE PLANNING AND RECREATION <br /> AND PARK COMMISSIONS <br /> <br /> It appears desirable and in the public interest to limit <br /> the number of terms that can be served by members of the <br /> Planning and the Parks and Recreation Commissions; and <br /> The City Council has, by Ordinance No. 542, extended <br /> the terms of Planning and Parks and Recreation Commis- <br /> sioners to four years; and <br /> <br /> The City Council has further, by Ordinance No. 542, pro- <br /> vided for automatic, annual rotation of the offices of <br /> Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the aforesaid two commis- <br /> sions; and <br /> <br /> It is felt that a reasonable amount of turnover on the <br /> Boards and Commissions of the City of Pleasanton is <br /> desirable, particularly when such changes in membership <br /> are infrequent enoughnot to penalize the City in terms <br /> of experience. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1.
