RE: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />NOW, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> DENIAL OF PROPOSED ZONING FOR NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL <br /> SHOPPING CENTER <br /> <br /> The Planning Commission by resolution recommended City <br /> Council approval of zoning to the "C-N"[Neighborhood <br /> Commercial) District of approximately eight acres of land <br /> within the Mackay Homes Development located generally on <br /> an extension of Valley Avenue and Hansen Drive; and <br /> Oral and documentary evidence was presented to the City <br /> Council regarding, among other things, the size of the <br /> proposed shopping center and the extent to which commit- <br /> ments from potential tenants of said shopping center had <br /> been received by the applicant. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the rezoning proposed by Mackay Homes and recommen- <br /> ded by the Planning Commission is denied and referred ba¢ <br /> to the Planning Commission for further consideration as <br /> follows: <br /> (a) To review the size of the parcel in terms of the <br /> major tenant for said shopping center when the <br /> Planning Commission is satisfied that said tenant <br /> has accepted space in the proposed shopping center.i <br /> <br /> (b) That in the event that the review referred to in <br /> (a) above determines that less than the requested <br /> space is necessary the Planning Commission require, <br /> to the extent legally feasible, that said excess <br /> area be devoted to landscaping. <br /> <br /> <br />
