CiTY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />SUPPORTING DESIGNATION OF ALAMEDA COUNTY AS COORDINATING <br />AGENT FOR TOPICS PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Legislation which provides for implementation of the <br /> government's TOPICS program in California became effectiv <br /> November 10, 1969; and <br />WHEREAS: Federal funds available to the State and to local govern- <br /> <br /> ment under this program are to be apportioned to local <br /> agencies for expenditure within urban areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Chairman of the Znterim TOPICS Advisory Committee of <br /> the State of California has requested the County of <br /> Alameda to contact cities within this County to determine <br /> their recommendations as to a Coordinating Agent for the <br /> urban areas within the County of Alameda; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The County of Alameda has contacted this City to ascer- <br /> <br /> tain its recommendation as to a Coordinating Agent for <br /> the TOPICS program in this area; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br /> of Pleasanton recommends that the County of Alameda be <br /> designated as the Coordinating Agent for the TOPICS <br /> program in the urban areas within the County of Alameda; <br /> and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be transmit- <br /> ted to the County of Alameda so that said County may <br /> respond to the request of the Chairman of the Interim <br /> TOPICS Advisory Committee of the State of California. <br /> <br />DATED: January 5, 1970 <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />HELEN C.
