WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />NOW, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 71-13 __ <br /> APPROVAL OF AGREEMENTS IMPLEMENTING DETACHMENT FROM <br /> V.C.S.D. OF ANNEXATIONS #53 and #56 <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton and Valley Community Services <br />District have tentatively reached an accord with respect <br />to implementation of detachment of the area within Annexa- <br />tions #53 and #56, said accord being represented by three <br />proposed agreements between the City of Pleasanton and <br />Valley Community Services District and by the assumption <br />City of Pleasanton's responsibility for administering the <br />provisions of an existing agreement between Valley Commun- <br />ity Services District and Freeway Industrial Company; and <br />Approval of all of said agreements appears desirable and <br />in the public interest in that said approval will effec- <br />tively implement detachment from Valley Community Services <br />District of the area within Pleasanton Annexations #53 and <br />#56, thus eliminating potential duplication of services <br />between Pleasanton and Valley Community Services District <br />overlapping tax rates within the area, and allowing the <br /> <br /> City to retail water within the area. <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. <br /> <br /> That the City of Pleasanton hereby agrees to assume and <br /> administer as a successor in interest to Valley Community <br /> Services District the provisions of the reimbursement <br /> agreement dated January 6, 1970, between Valley Community <br /> Services District and Freeway Industrial Investment Compa~ <br /> <br />2. That the proposed modification of agreement between Valle <br /> Comraunity Services District modifying an earlier agreement. <br /> dated June 14, 1967 and providing for retention of owner- <br /> ship by Valley Community Services District of a portion of! <br /> its 42" trunk sewer line is hereby approved. <br /> <br />3. That the proposed Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement be- <br /> <br /> <br />
