CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> courqYY OF ALAMEDA <br /> OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLU'rION NO. 71-9 ,, <br /> RE: APPROVAL IN PRINCIPLE OF THE JOINT WATER COMMITTEE RECOM- <br /> MENDATION AND RESOLUTION OF ZONE 7, AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT <br /> OF JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN ZONE 7 AND <br /> PLEASANTON SO AS TO INCREASE INDEPENDENT QUOTA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton, Pleasanton Township County Water <br /> District and Zone No. 7 of the Alameda County Flood Con- <br /> trol and Water Conservation District Joint Water Committe~ <br /> composed of two members of each of the respective govern- <br /> ing bodies, following lengthy negotiation, recommended <br /> assignment by Pleasanton Township County Water District <br /> to the City of Pleasanton of its water rights permit and <br /> amendment of the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement be- <br /> tween the three public entities referred to herein so as <br /> to increase gradually by 1500 feet the City's independent <br /> quota; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said recommendation was approved by the Alameda Flood <br /> Control Zone 7 Board of Directors by Resolution No. 519, <br /> adopted Decem~r 16, 1970, and by the Pleasanton Township <br /> County Water District Board of Directors on October 20, <br /> 1970; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the recommendation of the Joint Water Committee <br /> referred to herein and of the Zone 7 Board of Directors <br /> is hereby approved in principle. <br /> <br /> 2.
