WHEREAS, ;!WHEREAS, CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CA/~IFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 72-6 AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR STATE FUNDS TO FINANCE IN PART EXPENDITURES DURING THE 1973-74 FISCAL YEAR TO REPLACE THE ARROYO MOCHO BRIDGE ON SANTA RITA ROAD by Resolution No. 71-162, adopted on the 16th day of August, 1971, this City Council did direct the appropriate City Officials to enter into an agreement with the Alameda! County Flood Control and Water Conservation District for the construction of a new bridge across the Arroyo Mocho on Santa Rita Road; and the Legislature of the State of California did, by adding Section 143.3 to the California Streets and Highways Code, provide for the allocation of certain funds to be used for the construction of extensions of Federal Aid Secondary Highways within urban areas; and NHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 483, adopted on the 15th day of May, iWHEREAS, WHEREAS, NOW, 1967 this City Council did establish future width lines on Santa Rita Road to provide a 128-foot wide right of way; and during fiscal year 1973-74, the City of Pleasanton is desirous of replacing the bridge crossing the Arroyo Mocho on Santa Rita Road with a multi-lane facility having a geometrical cross section compatible with good engineering practices; and the City has considered the effects of the proposed finan- cing in relation to the statutory formula contained in the Streets and Highways Code for apportionment of State High- way construction monies between cities; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 1. That this City Council does hereby request that the State funds be allocated in the amount of $200,000 for expendi- tures during the 1973-74 fiscal year for the purpose of
