CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF A_LAM~DA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 73-7 <br /> <br />POLICY RELATING TO LOCATION WITHIN THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON OF FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has previously indicated, together with <br /> reasons therefor, its policy that financial institutions <br /> be encouraged to locate within the central business dis- <br /> trict area of the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission is desirous of guidance from the <br /> City Council as to the manner in which such policy is to <br /> be implemented; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the policy of the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton with respect to the location of financial in- <br /> stitutions within the City of Pleasanton heretofore <br /> expressed in Resolution No. 72-173 is to be implemented <br /> as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) The Planning Commission is requested to initiate <br /> public hearings so as to amend that portion Qf the <br /> City's Ordinance Code related to zoning to allow <br /> financial institutions as conditionally permitted <br /> uses in the C-C (Community Commercial), C-S (Commer- <br /> cial Service) and 0 (Office) Districts and as a <br /> permitted use in the C-R (Regional Commercial) <br /> District. <br /> <br /> (b) The planning CQmmimsion is requested to give great <br /> weight to the (buncil's policy herein expressed in <br /> considering applications for conditional use permits <br /> and to~ based thereon, deny such application which, <br /> if granted, would result in the location of a finan~ <br /> cial institution in other than the central business <br /> <br /> district of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> <br />
