CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 74-9 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THEI CONSOLIDATION OF THE STAFF OF THE <br />PLEASANTON HOUSING AUTMORITY WITH THE CITY OF PLEASANTOK <br />AND REORGANIZING THE COMMUNI Y DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br /> T <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has a Housing Authority created <br /> pursuant to the Housing Authorities Law, S34200, et seq., <br /> of the Health and Safety Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said Housing Authority has had its own staff ~8=80~ <br /> to perform the duties established by law for the Housing <br /> Authority; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Pleasanton has proposed a <br /> reorganization of the Community Development Department <br /> which would combine under one department Planning, Build- <br /> ing Inspection, Engineering and Housing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the intent of said reorganization is to consolidate all <br /> functions pertaining to the planning and development of <br /> the ~eeds of the community which will result in certain <br /> <br /> efficiencies for both the City and Housing Authorit~ and <br /> WHEREAS, this proposed reorganization was considered by the City <br /> <br /> Council and the governing board of the Pleasanton Housing <br /> Authority at a joint meeting held on January 14, 1974; <br /> <br />'NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Managers report of January 11, 1974, attached <br /> hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference <br /> is hereby adopted and City staff is directed to undertake <br /> the necessary steps to bring the.proposed reorganization <br /> into fruition by the time the City occupies the interim <br /> Civic Center facility located on Bernal Avenue. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is the intent of the City Council and the Housing <br /> <br /> Authority that the proposed reorganization be undertaken <br /> <br /> <br />
