WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 77-7 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PARTICIPATION BY <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON IN A 911 PROGRAM AND <br />EXECUTION OF NECESSARY CONTRACTS <br /> <br />Title 5 of the Government Code requires the provision <br />of 911 emergency telephone service throughout the State <br />of California before December 31, 1984; and <br />the County of Alameda has been selected by the Law En- <br />forcement Assistance Administration of the U. S. Depart- <br />ment of Justice and the Bell Telephone System as a suit- <br />able area for evaluating an advanced 911 system; and <br />the City of Pleasanton together with other cities in <br />Alameda County adopted a resolution supporting the trial <br />project and expressing its willingness to participate <br />in said project; and <br /> <br />Alameda County submitted anAgreement to the City of <br />Pleasanton entitled - Alameda 911 Trial Participation <br />Agreement; and <br />said Agreement with attachments thereto were considered <br />by the City Council at its meeting of January 10, 1977. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the City of Pleasanton's participation in <br /> the advanced 911 ~ystem to be implemented in the County <br /> of Alameda. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes the Mayor to sign the contract entitled - <br /> Alameda 911 Trial Participation Agreement - with the <br /> County of Alameda. <br /> <br /> <br />
