CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-5 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION CONSOLIDATING CERTAIN VOTING PRECINCTS <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR THE UPCOMING <br />MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS ON MARCH 7, 1978. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Pleasanton, on March 7, 1978, will hold a Municipal <br /> Election to vote into office two City Council seats; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />For this election, it is planned to use a automated ballot <br />tabulation system, thus negating the need for small precincts <br />when ballots had to be counted by hand. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council approves consolidation of the <br />following precincts for said March 7, 1978, Municipal <br />Election as follows: <br /> <br />Precinct 52083 and Precinct 52090 <br />Precinct 52230 and Precinct 52084 <br />Precinct 52200 and Precinct 52311 <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ON <br />January 10, 1978, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer and Mayor Philcox <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Councilmember LeClaire <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br /> ~B~ <br />Cla~yo~j~ ~ ROB RT C.
