CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 86-22 A RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF PLEASANTON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 114 PURSUANT TO THE CORTESE-KNOX LOCAL GOVERNMENT REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1985 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the annexation of approximately 0.015 acres, Annexation No. 114 and requests initiation of proceedings thereon; and WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited, and a description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence of the affected city; and WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed annexation are as follows: Conditions of approval of PUD-84-21 require the developer to purchase and annex the necessary right-of-way in order to effect an alignment of the new access road to the project with the intersection of New Bernal Avenue and Old Bernal Avenue. The necessary property has been purchased from the City and County of San Francisco and those portions of the parcel outside the city limits are hereby requested to be annexed. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section t: The Local Agency Formation Commission of Alameda County is hereby requested to take proceedings for the annexation of territory as described in Exhibit "A", according to the terms and conditions stated above and in the manner provided by the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985. - 1 -
