PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1181 <br />A resolution of the Planning Commission of <br />the City of Pleasanton denying Z-72-77 and <br />V-72-23. <br />WHEREAS, the application of Cummings and Company for <br />Franklin Savings and Loan for Design Review <br />to allow the installation of a time and tem- <br />perature sign at 561 Main Street, Pleasanton, <br />and a variance to allow a sign with changing <br />lights also to be located at 561 Main Street, <br />Pleasanton, in a C-C (Community Commercial) <br />District, has come before this Commission, <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton has held a public hearing on <br />this application and has examined pertinent <br />drawings, documents and testimony. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Z-72-77 and V-72-23 be denied <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That the sign, although aesthetically <br />pleasing, is not in keeping with the charm <br />and character that should be projected within <br />the Central Business District. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton on the 23rd day of May, 1972, <br />by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners Hirst, Pereira, <br />Wood and Chairman Carrigan. <br />Noes: Commissioner Pons <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />Attest: Secretary Castro <br />Date: May 23, 1972 <br />Attest: <br />Howard T.
