<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-97-75 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON, AS FILED UNDER CASE RZ-97-05 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasant on has applied to amend Chapter 18.44 (Commercial Districts) <br />of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to make liquor stores conditional uses in the <br />Neighborhood Commercial and Central Commercial Districts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of August 27,1997, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements ofthe <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the extra level of review and public <br />input which accompany a conditional use permit are appropriate for liquor stores <br />in the Neighborhood Commercial and Central Commercial Districts. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-97-05, the application of the City of Pleasant on to <br />amend Chapter 18.44 (Commercial Districts) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to <br />make liquor stores conditional uses in the Neighborhood Commercial and Central <br />Commercial Districts as shown on Exhibit "B," attached hereto and made part of this <br />case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
