PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2003-34 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR THE APPLICATION OF MICHAEL CALLAHAN, AS FILED UNDER CASE <br />PUD-93-2-SM AND PCUP-89 <br />WHEREAS, Michael Callahan has applied for (1) a major modification to an approved PUD <br />development plan to allow construction of an 18,144-square-foot event center/barrel <br />storage building and an 8,480-square-foot case storage building; and (2) for <br />conditional use permit approval to operate an event center at the site of the Ruby <br />Hill Winery located at 1188 Vineyard Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 13, 2003, the Planning Commission received a proposed <br />negative declaration prepared for Case PUD-93-2-SM and PCUP-89; and <br />WHEREAS, the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of <br />the proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the <br />applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission further finds that approval of the proposed project would <br />not have any significant adverse effects on the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for Case <br />PUD-93-2-SM and PCUP-89, the applications of Michael Callahan for (1) a major <br />modification to an approved PUD development plan to allow construction of an <br />18,144-square-foot event center/barrel storage building and an 8,480-square-foot <br />case storage building; and (2) for conditional use permit approval to operate an <br />event center at the site of the Ruby Hill Winery located at 1188 Vineyard Avenue. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and adoption. <br />
