FOR THE RECYCLED WATER INFRASTRUCTURE EXPANSION — PHASE 1A PROJECT, CIP NO. 14126 SUMMARY Construction performed by Ranger Pipelines, Inc. for the first phase of the recycled water infrastructure expansion project is complete and ready for City Council acceptance. The project consisted of installing the backbone of a recycled water system servicing Hacienda in northern Pleasanton, Ken Mercer Sports Park, and Tennis and Community Park. Funding was through the California Clean Water State Revolving Funds (CWSRF) and Proposition 1B Grants Funds (Loan and Grant). Ranger Pipelines, Inc. installed approximately 9.7 miles of new recycled water pipelines, two turn outs and 136 services. The project also included procurement of a booster station and repurposing of the Tassajara Reservoir and Clean Water Revival Line. The last phase of construction, including the installation of the Ken Mercer Sports Park booster station to be completed by GSE Construction. Inc., is scheduled to be operational by spring 2019. RECOMMENDATION 1. Accept the work completed by Ranger Pipelines Inc. as complete. 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the work completed by Ranger Pipelines, Inc. 3. Authorize the release of bonds 30 days after the recordation of the Notice of Completion. 4. Authorize the return of $281,827 to the Streets General Fund. FINANCIAL STATEMET The total expenditures for the work completed by Ranger Pipelines, Inc. is $16,801,233 which is a portion of the total expenditures for the project. The funding source for the first and second phase of the project is from a one-percent-interest loan from the CWSRF and Proposition 1B Grant Funds for a total of $17,359,925. The City was approved by the State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB) for a second phase of work that is being performed by the original consultants and GSE Construction, Inc. The second phase is for the installation of the Sports Park booster station. Following the completion of the second phase of work and filing of the reimbursement requests with the State, a complete final project expenditure report will be presented to City Council.
