THE CITY OF 1 5 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> February 5, 2019 <br /> Library and Recreation <br /> TITLE: CONSIDER ADOPTION OF THE HUMAN SERVICES NEEDS <br /> ASSESSMENT STRATEGIC PLAN UPDATE AND RECEIVE <br /> PRESENTATION BY SUE COMPTON, CEO AXIS COMMUNITY HEALTH <br /> REGARDING NEW DENTAL CLINIC <br /> SUMMARY <br /> In June 2017, the Human Services Commission (commission) recommended that staff <br /> lead a process to update the Human Services Needs Assessment Strategic Plan. <br /> Through a 16 month process, staff and the commission drafted a City of Pleasanton <br /> Human Services Needs Assessment Updated Strategic Plan for the years 2018-2022 <br /> (Attachment 1). This update will serve as the guiding document for future commission <br /> actions, funding decisions and initiatives from 2018 to 2022. This Strategic Plan update <br /> is in preparation for the 2020 census and will provide direction for a planned update to <br /> the Eastern Alameda County Human Services Needs Assessment (EACHSNA) in 2021. <br /> The strategic plan was developed through commission feedback, information from the <br /> 2011 EACHSNA, public workshops in 2017 and 2018 and the City of Pleasanton <br /> Human Services Needs Assessment Strategic Plan 2014-2016 (Attachment 2). The City <br /> of Pleasanton Human Services Needs Assessment Strategic Plan 2014-2016 was <br /> approved by the City Council on May 6, 2014. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve Human Services Needs Assessment Strategic Plan 2018-2022 as <br /> recommended by the City of Pleasanton Human Services Commission and receive <br /> presentation from Sue Compton, CEO of Axis Community Health regarding new dental <br /> clinic. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There are no immediate costs associated with this action; however, some of the <br /> strategic and organizational actions may result in associated costs requiring additional <br /> funds. <br />
