CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 735 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4-,4.04 (a) , ARTICLE 9 <br /> (GARBAGE), CHAPTER 2 (SPECIAL PERMITS), TITLE IV <br /> (HEALTH, SAFETY, MORAL ~ AND GENERAL WELFARE) OF THE <br /> ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON PERTAINING <br /> TO THE DEFINITION OF GARBAGE. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Section 4-4.01 (Definitions), subsection (a) , <br />(Garbage~ waste matter, and refuse), Article 9, Chapter 2, <br />Title IV of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> a. "Refuse" shall mean all putrescible and non-.putrescible, <br /> <br /> combustible and non-combustible solid wastes, including <br /> but not limited to, animal and vegetable waste resulting~ <br /> from the preparation, cooking and consumption of food, <br /> garbage, rubbish, ashes, street cleaning.~ dead animals, <br /> solid market and industrial waste paper wrappings <br /> cigarettes, cardboard, tin cans, yard clippings, <br /> leaves, wood, glass, bedding, crockery and similar <br /> materials. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective thirty <br /> <br />days after its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This Ordinance shall be published once within <br />fifteen days after its adoption in "THE TIMES~" a newspaper of <br />general circulation~ published in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton on August 12, 1974 . <br /> <br /> <br />
