PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-19 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AS FILED UNDER CASE RZ-97-07 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code to establish requirements for personal wireless service facilities throughout the City. The proposed Municipal Code changes would establish the minimum setbacks for personal wireless service facilities and would also establish design, locational, and processing standards for existing and proposed personal wireless service facilities; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of March 25,1998, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff; and WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed ordinance will protect the public safety and general welfare, and provide ample locations where personal wireless service facilities may be located. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-97 -07, the application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code to establish requirements for personal wireless service facilities throughout the City. The proposed Municipal Code changes would establish the minimum setbacks for personal wireless service facilities and would also establish design, locational, and processing standards for existing and proposed personal wireless service facilities, as shown on Exhibit "B," attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
