CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 785 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 2 (DECREASE IN STATE SPEED <br /> LIMIT IN CERTAIN ZONES), CHAPTER VI(SPEED ZONES), TITLE V <br /> (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS) OF THE <br /> ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, RELATING TO <br /> SPEED LIMITS ON FOOTHILL ROAD <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Section 5-6.05 (Decrease of State Law Maximum Speed), <br /> of Article 2 (Decrease in State Speed Limit in Certain <br /> Zones), Chapter VI(Speed Zones), Title V (Vehicles and <br /> Traffic, Streets and Highways) of the Ordinance Code of <br /> the City of Pleasanton is hereby amended by addition of <br /> the following subsection: <br /> <br /> n. Foothill Road. On Foothill Road from Bernal <br /> Avenue 'soUtherly to the City limit line, the <br /> speed limit shall be 45 miles per hour. <br /> <br />~ection 2. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> <br /> after its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "THE TIMES," a newspape~ <br /> of general circulation, published and circulated in the <br /> City of Pleasanton. <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton on May 10, 1976. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on May 24, 1976, by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, Brandes, LeClaire, Mercer and <br /> Mayor Philcox <br /> <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None ~~'I'i <br /> ROBE <br />Attest: ~ C.
