THE CITY OF 17 <br /> -'-t "' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTONo <br /> June 4, 2013 <br /> City Council <br /> TITLE: REVIEW AND CONSIDER THE REALLOCATION OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Each year, the Mayor reviews and revises, as necessary, Council assignments to <br /> various City Council Subcommittees, and local/regional boards and commissions. It is <br /> intended that appointment be spread so that each member of the Council share the <br /> responsibility of representing or conducting business for the City. Due to a Council <br /> vacancy, the 2013 appointments (which were approved last December) were shared <br /> among four members of the Council. Since then a special election was held and the <br /> vacancy filled. In light of this, the current assignments require review and reallocation to <br /> include the recently seated Councilmember. The Council is asked to consider ratifying <br /> the Mayor's revised appointments for the remainder of 2013. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Review and consider the Mayor's revised 2013 Council assignments to various <br /> committees and boards. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> There is no fiscal impact <br /> Approv by: <br /> Nelson Fialho <br /> City Manager <br />
