CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1459 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11.20 OF <br /> THE PLRASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING <br /> THE SPEED LIMIT ON STANLEY BOULEVARD <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 11.20 (Speed Limits), Section 11.20.010 <br /> (Increasing state speed limit in certain zones) is <br /> amended to delete subsection (D)(2), which reads as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> D. Stanley Boulevard <br /> <br /> 2. On Stanley Boulevard from the city limits <br /> west to Valley Avenue the speed limit <br /> shall be fifty-five miles per hour. <br /> <br />Section 2: Chapter 11.20 (Speed Limits), Section 11.20,020 <br /> (Decreasing state speed limit in certain zones), <br /> subsection (M) Stanley Boulevard, is amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br /> M. Stanley Boulevard. <br /> <br /> 1. On Stanley Boulevard from First Street to <br /> the city limits, as established by the <br /> city of Pleasanton Annexation No. 73, the <br /> speed limit shall be forty miles per <br /> hour. <br /> <br /> 2. On Stanley Boulevard from Valley/Bernal <br /> Avenue to the easterly city limits, the <br /> speed limit shall be fifty miles per <br /> hour. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall be published once within <br /> fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Tri- <br /> Valley Herald," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 4: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) <br /> days after the date of its final passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
