CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1499 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PT~ASANTON AMENDING SECTION 2 (PANT) OF ORDINANCE 1082, AS AM]~NDED, AND SECTION 15.20,180 OF THE PT~SANTON MUNICIPAL CODE, CONCERNING CONNECTION FEES FOR SEWER SERVICE AND DECLARING THEURGENCY THEREOF TO TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY UPON ADOPTION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Section 2 (part) of Ordinance 1082 and Section 15.20.180 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, as amended, are hereby further amended to read as follows: "Section 15 20.180 Schedule of Rates and Charges. (Subsection A, no change.) B. District connection Fees The sewer connection fees for the Dublin San Ramon Services District shall be as established by the Board of Directors of the District, as set forth in the appendix to Title 3 of this Code. (Subsection C, no change.)" Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton. section 3: This ordinance shall be deemed an urgency ordinance, to take effect immediately upon its adoption, for the following reasons: The Dublin San Ramon Services District has increased its connection fees effective January 3, 1991; these fees were determined by the District to be necessary in order to meet the regional sewer needs; the City is obligated by agreement to collect these fees for the District from persons within Pleasanton who wish to connect a building to the sewer system; if these fees are not collected by the City, the region's health, safety and welfare are 1
