CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 81-19 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE RESTROOM/CONCESSION BUILDING AT YOUTH SPORTS PARK, PROJECT NO. 81-5, TO MARVIN BUSBY COMPANY, INC. AND APPROPRIATION OF AN ADDITIONAL $10,000 FROM THE AMADOR PARK PICNIC FACILITY PROJECT WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for the construction of a restroom/concession building at the '.Youth SpOrts Park, Project No. 81-5; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code 37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids regarding this project; and bids were reviewed by the City Council on January 27, 1981; and the bid of Marvin Busby Company, Inc. in the amount of $73,088.00 was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities that the bid of Marvin Busby Company, Inc. and recommended be accepted; WHEREAS, the available funds to complete this project are $64,150; and WHEREAS, the additional $10,000 needed to cover the excess cost could come from unused funds allocated for Amador Park Picnic Facilities. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The bid of Marvin Busby Company, Inc. in the amount of $70,380.00 (omitting installation of a shake roof) for the construction of a restroom/concession building at Youth Sports Park, Project No. 81-5, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2: Appropriates $10,000 from the Amador Park Picnic Facility Project to be used in the construction of the above-described building.
