CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASA~ON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-254 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS A~D AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR REMOVAL <br />OF BEEMS, FILLING OF EVAPORATION POND AND SLUDGE <br />BED REMOVAL TO JOE FOSTER EXCAVATING, INC., PROJECT <br />NO. 81-12 <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for the <br />removal of berms, filling of evaporation pond and <br />sludge bed removal, Project No. 81-12; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the <br />City Engineering Services Division advertised for <br />bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />I~HEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on August 11, <br /> 1981; and <br /> <br />the bid of Joe Foster Excavating, Inc., in the amount <br />of $80,150 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br />bid; and <br /> <br />I~HEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities recoLm~ended <br />that the bid of Joe Foster Excavating, Inc. be accepted; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the available funds to complete this project are <br /> $80,000. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Joe Foster Excavating, Inc., in the amount <br /> of $80,150 for the removal of berms, filling of evapora- <br /> tion pond and sludge bed removal, Project No. 81-12, <br /> is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract with <br /> Joe Foster Excavating, Inco for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective inmnediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 11, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
