CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTOIl ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 81-245 APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF HENRY JA}~S OVERBY FOR A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CO~ZENIENCE AND ~ECESSITY TO OPERATE A TAXI SERVICE IN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON Mr. Henry Overby of Livermore applied to the City Council for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to operate a taxi service in Pleasanton; and the necessary police investigation and report has been prepared pursuant to Ordinance No. 480 and a positive recommendation has been received by the Pleasanton Police Department; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 480, Mr. Overby has provided the appropriate certificates of insurance in the required amounts. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the issuance of a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to operate a taxi service in Pleasanton under the name "Yellow Cab." Section 2: Establishes the following maximum taxi rates: A. Flag drop B. Mileage rates C. Waiting time $ 1.60 .15 per 1/10 mile or a fraction thereof $16.00 per hour Section 3: Requires Mr. Overby to carry a minimum liability insurance coverage of $100,000 per person and $300,000 for two or more persons in one accident with the City of Pleasanton named as an additional insured. Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
