CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUi~Y, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-241 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />AN AMENDMENT TO TIlE CIRCULATION ELEMENT OF THE <br />GENERAL PLAN TO INDICATE HOPYARD ROAD BETWEEN <br />WEST LAS POSITAS BOULEVARD AND 1-580 AS A SIX- <br />LAI~ MAJOR THOROUGtFARE <br /> <br />at its meeting of July 28, 1981, the City Council <br />received a proposed negative declaration for an <br />amendment to the Circulation Element of the General <br />Plan to show Ilopyard Road between West Las Positas <br />Boulevard and 1-580 as a six-lane major thoroughfare <br />rather than a four-lane thoroughfare and to construct <br />roadway improvements (including utilities) to widen <br />to six lanes the existing four lane Hopyard Road <br />between Valley Avenue and Johnson Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial <br />Study dated July 8, 1981 and received the recommendations <br />of the staff and Planning Commission approving the <br />amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time <br />the public was given the opportunity to comment on <br />the proposed environmental assessment; and <br /> <br />WIlEtEAS <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts <br />in accordance with the applicable state and local <br />guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the proposed amendment to <br />the Circulation Element of the General Plan would not <br />have any significant adverse effects on the environment. <br /> <br />NOW, TttREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: That a Negative Declaration be adopted for the amend- <br />ment of the Circulation Element of the General Plan to <br />indicate Hopyard Road between West Las Positas Boulevard <br />and 1-580 as a six-lane major thoroughfare rather than <br />a four-lane thoroughfare and to construct roadway improve- <br />ments (including utilities) to widen to six lanes the <br />existing four-lane Hopyard Road between Valley Avenue <br />and Johnson Drive. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
