CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASA~ON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.~o278-A <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING WITHOUT PREJUDICE THE APPLICATION <br />OF SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY FOR <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL FOR AN APPROXIMATELY <br />80,000 SQ. FT. C~RCIAL/OFFICE DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of August 25, 1981, the City Council <br />reviewed the application of Southern Pacific Transporta- <br />tion Company for development plan approval for an <br />80,000 sq. ft. commercial/office development to be <br />located between First Street and the SPRR right-of-way <br />from Angela Street to the extension of Bernal Avenue <br />and between Neal Street, Angela Street, the SPRR right- <br />of-way and a line approximately 250 feet east of Main <br />Street; and <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time <br />the public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br />environmental impacts of the proposed application for <br />rezoning and development plan approval; and <br /> <br />~IEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission made recommendations to the <br />Council to approve the application, but was very <br />concerned about the lack of adequate parking; and <br /> <br />WHEP~AS, several citizens raised the same concerns regarding <br /> parking at the public hearing before the City Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council denies without prejudice approval of the <br /> development plan for an approximately 80,000 sq. ft. <br /> commercial/office development, due to lack of adequate <br /> parking spaces. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 25, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
