CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAJ4EDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 81-271 RESOLUTION MAKING APPLICATION TO ALAMEDA COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FOP~TION CO~4ISSION REQUESTING INITIATION OF PROCEEDINGS FOR PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 91 PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATION ACT OF 1977 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977, beginning with Section 35000 of the Government Code, an affected city, as therein defined, may be resolution adopted by its legislative body, make a proposal for an "Annexation and Detachments" and request initiation of proceedings thereon; and t~flEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is an "affected city" for an annexation proposal which contains territory proposed to be annexed as part of said City; and WHEREAS, the owner of said property has consented to this annexation. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: This City Council, as the legislative body of an affected city, does hereby make a proposal for annexation of the area known as Annexation 91 pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 and does hereby request proceedings pursuant to such act. Section 2: The annexation shall consist of the following change in organization: That 35 acres, more or less, bounded by the Kamp Annexation, Mohr Avenue, Martin Avenue and Trenery Drive, shall be changed from unincorporated Alameda County lands to land within the City of Pleasanton. Said territory is found to be inhabited and is more specifically described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein. Section 3: This City Council does hereby declare that its reason for proposing this annexation is: The annexation appears to be a logical expansion of the City boundaries andwould allow appropriate City control of any future development of the property.
