CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-284 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION INDICATING AN INTEREST IN ANNEXATION <br />OF APPROXIMATELY 375 ACRES AT THE INTERSECTION OF <br />EL CHARRO AND 1-580 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City has received requests from Reynold C. Johnson <br />Company, Don and Jerry Hunter, and Vintage Development <br />for annexation of approximately 375 acres straddling <br />E1 Charro Road just south of 1-580; and <br /> <br />Reynold C. Johnson Company has filed an application <br />to amend the General Plan designation and are about <br />to start preparation of an EIR for this application; <br />and <br /> <br />the procedures of amending the General Plan, EIR <br />preparation and prezoning are time consuming and <br />expensive and the applicants would like a non-binding <br />indication from the Council as to their attitude <br />toward the proposed annexation before they proceed <br />with the other steps. <br /> <br />NOW, TttREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: There is at this time favorable interest in proceeding <br /> with the steps preliminary to the consideration of formal <br /> annexation of approximately 375 acres at the intersection <br /> of E1 Charro Road and 1-580. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON AUGUST 25, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmembers - Mohr and Wood <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> .
