CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-283 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING EI~ENSION OF CONTRACT WITH <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY TO JUNE 30, 1982 FOR FIRE PROTECTION <br />SERVICES TO CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED AREAS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has provided fire protection <br />services to certain unincorporated areas for the <br />past sixteen years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the one year contract with the County to provide fire <br />protection to the unincorporated areas expired on <br />June 30, 1981; and <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has received a request from <br />the County Administrator to extend the contract for <br />one year to June 30, 1982; and <br /> <br />the County will pay the City a minimum of $61,568 to <br />continue the fire protection through fiscal year <br />1981-82; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of August 25, 1981, the City Council <br />received a report from the Director of Finance dated <br />August 11, 1981 recommending approval of the extension <br />of this contract to June 30, 1982. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the extension of the contract with Alameda <br /> County to June 30, 1982 for the City to provide fire <br /> protection services to the following incorporated areas: <br /> <br /> Remen Tract F1964-1 <br /> Castlewood F1965-1 <br /> Happy Valley F1965-2 <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON AUGUST 25, <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> 1981 BY TIlE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />~~, ~O~~ <br /> <br /> mes . a°ker, it lerkfP~PROVEDB DG 1~ AS TO FORI{: <br />y oris eorge, eputy City Clerk ~ n~e ~ <br /> i ,~ City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
