CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-320 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />WIDENING VALLEY AVENUE TO A FOUR-LANE MAJOR <br />THOROUGHFARE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of September 29, 1981, the City Council <br />received a proposed negative declaration for the <br />proposed widening of Valley Avenue to a four-lane <br />major thoroughfare by CPS Associates; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial <br />Study dated September 14, 1981 and received the <br />recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; <br />and <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time <br />the public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br />environmental impacts of the proposed development plan; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in <br />accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines <br />governing the preparation of negative declarations and <br />environmental impact reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the proposed widening of <br />Valley Avenue to a four-lane major thoroughfare by <br />CPS Associates would not have any significant adverse <br />effects on the environment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for the widening <br /> of Valley Avenue to a four-lane thoroughfare by CPS <br /> Associates. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 29, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Councilmembers <br />None <br />Councilmember Butler <br />None <br /> <br />- Kephart, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br /> <br />
