CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-379 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENTS <br />AND AUTHORIZING CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE <br />AGREEMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at their meeting of September 29, 1981, the City Council <br />approved the purchase of a new street sweeper and a <br />new IBM copier; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at that time, it was recommended that the equipment be <br /> financed through the respective manufacturers; and <br /> <br />Bank of America has been able to offer the city a <br />more favorable interest rate to finance this equipment; <br />and <br /> <br />~EREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Finance presented a report to Council <br />dated November 2, 1981 describing in detail the terms <br />of the lease purchase agreements and recommending <br />approval of the agreements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />IBM and Western Traction Co. are willing to enter into <br />lease purchase agreements with assignments to the Bank <br />of America; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the report and the agreements <br /> at its meeting of November 10, 1981. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the lease purchase agreement with IBM, to <br /> be assigned to the Bank of America, for financing the <br /> purchase of an IBM Series III model copier with 20 bin <br /> collator. <br /> <br />Section 2: Approves the lease purchase agreement with Western <br /> Traction Company, to be assigned to the Bank of America, <br /> for financing the purchase of an FMC Wayne Model 12 <br /> street sweeper, Serial Number 12-2138. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes the appropriate city officials to execute <br /> the lease agreements (copies of which are attached <br /> hereto and incorporated herein by reference). <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
