CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 81-379 RESOLUTION APPROVING LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENTS AND AUTHORIZING CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WHEREAS, at their meeting of September 29, 1981, the City Council approved the purchase of a new street sweeper and a new IBM copier; and WHEREAS, at that time, it was recommended that the equipment be financed through the respective manufacturers; and Bank of America has been able to offer the city a more favorable interest rate to finance this equipment; and ~EREAS, the Director of Finance presented a report to Council dated November 2, 1981 describing in detail the terms of the lease purchase agreements and recommending approval of the agreements; and WHEREAS, IBM and Western Traction Co. are willing to enter into lease purchase agreements with assignments to the Bank of America; and WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the report and the agreements at its meeting of November 10, 1981. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the lease purchase agreement with IBM, to be assigned to the Bank of America, for financing the purchase of an IBM Series III model copier with 20 bin collator. Section 2: Approves the lease purchase agreement with Western Traction Company, to be assigned to the Bank of America, for financing the purchase of an FMC Wayne Model 12 street sweeper, Serial Number 12-2138. Section 3: Authorizes the appropriate city officials to execute the lease agreements (copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference). Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
