~E~AS WHEREAS , WtlEREAS, CITY COLFNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALA~EDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 81-397 RESOLUTION APPROVING WASTE WATER REUSE PROJECT AND AUTtlORIZING THE LA~.~ REPRESENTATIVES TO VOTE TO DISSOLVE THE LIVERMORE-PLEASANTON WATER RECLAMATION AGENCY the Wastewater Reclamation Study for Livermore and Pleasanton has been completed and the Environmental Impact Report has been certified for the project by LPWRA; and the LPWRA Board has not formally approved a project and are requesting guidance from the Council on how they should proceed; and it is the conclusion of the study that the Wastewater Reuse Project is not now economically feasible, however there may be long range advantages to approving the project and filing the Notice of Determination now in order to preserve the usefulness of the completed study and EIR if conditions change in the future that might make the project desirable; and WtlEREAS, as construction of the project is not feasible at this time, the continued existence of LPWRAwould serve no useful purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON P~SOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The two representatives to the LPWRA Board are authorized to: Approve Pleasanton's wastewater reuse project as described in the study, and file the Notice of Determination; and Vote to dissolve the Livermore-Pleasanton Water Reclamation Agency joint powers agency upon completion of the 30 day period following the filing of the Notice of Determination.
