CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-383 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF BALLISTIC UNITED <br />SOCCER TO REQUEST DONATION FOR ADMITTANCE TO <br />HOLIDAY CLASSIC SOCCER TOURNAMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Resolution 78-38B, no entrance fee, parking <br />charge or donation can be required at any sports event <br />held in any City park unless approved by the City Council; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Council has received a request from Ballistic United <br />Soccer Club to allow collection of donations at <br />their Holiday Classic at Pleasanton Sports and <br />Recreation Park on November 27, 28, and 29, 1981 to <br />help defray tournament expenses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Council has received a report from the Director of the <br />Department of Recreation and Human Resources recoranending <br />approval of this request. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the request of Ballistic United Soccer to <br /> accept donations from spectators attending the Holiday <br /> Classic Soccer Tournament on November 27, 28, 29, 1981 <br /> at Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 10, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Walker, C C rk <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />~evine, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
